Customer owned modem set up

I tried to set up my own modem but the activation steps failed, I know that the modem package says to contact my ISP and provide the MAC address, I tried chat and currently that is the only way I can contact but that did not work. Please help me either get to a chat person or let me provide my info.

Why not just call 1(800)XFINITY for activation?

Hi, ClariS89 - What issues did you get with the chat? Please check your primary phone number in My Account page and make sure it's not set up as (111)111-1111 or (999)999-9999.
