Connecting to xfinity modem/router

I am trying to login to my modem from my desktop. It is connected via ethernet. When I get to the login by typing Http://10.0.0.1 and then type in "admin" for user name and "password" as the password. It says incorrect password? Is there a fix for this?

If you do a system reset, it should clear it up.  But you will have to re-enter SSID and password changes.

Pressing the reset button on the rear of the gateway will do the same thing.

Locate the Reset button on the back of your modem. Press and hold the Resetbutton using a pen or other pointed non-metallic object until the lights on the front of your modem turn off. Release the button and wait for the modem to cycle back up and reinitialize. This can take up to five minutes.
