The only way to generate Read reciepts is by using an email client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail or some other that has that feature. But keep in mind that compliance is entirely voluntary on the part of the recipient. They don't have to acknowledge the request if they don't want to.
I run a Storage facility in Washington State. As of 7/24/2015 the laws have changed and I can use email as a way to send pre-lien and lien notifications as long as I get verfication that they received my email. I need this feature of read receipt by law and as a Comcast Business customer I need my email to have this feature.
Please update ASAP.

Comcast's XfinityConnect does not offer that feature.

Well, Almost any email client can be set up to do this, I don't see where comcast's webmail can, and I know neither Verizon or SBC has this in their webmail here....
Aside from the I make sure that that feature to autoreply to one of those is off in my email client. I will decide if I wish to confirm receipt..
The other company with whom I had email had an option to ask the receiver to indicate that he was accepting the email, thus confirming that he had received it and I would receive that notification as an incoming email. Do you have such an option?
