Can’t access cable modem

I have an ARRIS TG1682G. I just tried to access it using 10.0.0.1 entered the default username and password (admin-password) and got a funny message of “can not get password for admin from backend!” Going to restart the modem and try again. But was wondering if anyone else had seen this before.
