Can not connect via Ethernet

Just made the switch from ATT to Comcast Monday and still am unable to connect via Ethernet to internet.  Here's the thing...All devices can connect via wifi, laptop can hardconnect via ethernet cable but the desktop won't see it.  Have had 4 techs here, and a few via phone.  All stumped.  Connection being shown when I connect via ATT (haven't cancelled b/c I need desktop, ugh!) is "Realtek PCI 6BE" if that helps.  Have tried the Google DNS route, total ip reset via C: prompt.  At a loss.  It's like something hardwired into desktop system and not sure how to get around it or uninstall etc....Please help
