At least you are getting a message that the service is not available. I'm not even getting that. But I am glad to read that there is a problem with the service, not with me.
Same dilemma. I used the chat app. Connected with a rep after 8 minutes waiting in queue, but at least the chat app tells you how many are ahead of you.
Rep could not resolve, had to open a ticket and escalate it to higher tier support. No ETA on resolution
I'm getting "bad gateway" messages on chrome, and "timed out" on IE explorer. Cleared my browsing history, closed browsers, went back in, even re-booted computer, still nothing. Sounds like an Xfinity issue, hope they resolve it quickly.
