100 mbps to 20 mbps using a router

I have 100 mbps package from xfinity. When I test speed wired I get 100 mbps. When I connect through router for wireless test speed is only 20 mbps. My router is rated for 150 mbps. Modem is rated for 353 mbps. Do I need a higher rated router to get 100 mbps? Thanks.

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters.

What device are you seeing 20Mbps on? Laptop, Phone? What make/model router do you have?
