No landline service after precipitation

No landline service after precipitation

Since switching to Comcast Xfinity TV/Internet/Landline, I lose landline telephone service after it has rained or wet snow.  I have had calls out, equipment on house has been changed, etc.  Right now I have been out since Saturday, 3-24-2018 when we had 8 inches of wet snow.  Then rain following Monday and Tuesday.  Per their troubleshooting instructions, I do have dial tone plugging corded phone directly into modem.  I have managed to get a busy signal from phone jack in one part of house, nothing in rest.  Am at a loss.  Anyone else have these problems?  I know it sounds like phone line from modem to box on house may be problem?

Sounds like it's your home phone wiring, if you're getting dial tone with the phone attached right to the modem. If your NID is outside, and maybe the elements are possibly affecting the wiring.

Good evening, I can investigate this for you going forward. If the weather is causing this issue I can have someone out to check, but there could be a charge if the issue isn't related to Comcast.
