Voip Phone Multi-line Question

We had multi-line (4) land-line (copper wire) residential account with AT&T before our home burned down in Santa Rosa fires.  We learned having more than one line is about $10 per line...so we are thinking of having a three line phone, maybe 4 to include our fax.

QUESTION: Can our residential account have "call hunting"?  I.e., if we are on line 1 and a call comes into line 1, will the signal then move to line 2?  On 1/14/14, on a locked post, the answer was that a business account is required...5 years later, I am hoping we can have this "hunting" service on a residential account?  Is this so?  I presume a business account is expensive!

Thanks...from SeeLife

Call hunting isn’t something offered through residential service

Re: Voip Phone Multi-line Question

You can use Advanced Call Forwarding to ring every line simultaneously (up to 5 telephone numbers) which could function as a poor man's hunt group.  Just make sure none of the lines includes Call Forward Busy to Voicemail.
