Home Security Notifications Leaking Dangerous Data!

Dear Xfinity Home Security Users,

I am getting Alarm Arm/Disarm notifications for ANOTHER ACCOUNT in my inbox.  I have their address and I can look it up on Google maps.  If I were a bad actor (and I'm not) I would go rob their house and let them know that Xfinity told me exactly when the perfect time would be.  This is a most dangerous and embarassing data leakage on a few levels.

I have given Xfinity nearly two months to fix this issue and I warned Xfinity that I would take this public.  They haven't fixed this so I am forced to contact CERT and will see what they recommend as next steps after I have submitted an incident report form.

I leave this as a public notice in the forums to alert your home security subscribers.
