The new Web page for XH, which is in trial phase, may lok prettier, but it seems to lack in usability.
Two big examples are:
1. Rules for Turning on & off lights for a period.
Editing an existing rule seems to work like creating a new rule.
Creating a new rule for lights deleted the previous rule.
Could not work out how to initiate a scheduled On and scheduled Off for teh same light.
Had to revert to the old interface to edit the single or multi light on/off rules, and when looking back in the new interface I could not see the settings I had made in the old interface. Very clunky and clumsie.
2. Presentation of Cameras.
Seem unable to view multiple cameras at the same time, and although clicking one camera showed teh multiple photos for that camera, it did not show any shots for teh other camera when it was clicked on.
All in all, this seems to have some way to go.
A "pretty" web page is not the key. Usability is the key to a successful web site..
Hi gbeith -
Thanks for reaching out with feedback on the new web portal. We appreciate the input. You're correct - at this time the edit functionality is not a true edit. We allow the user to go back and “edit” the rule by recreating it. We understand this is not the same experience as the previous portal. We will be rebuilding the edit functionality.
On/Off for lights has to be automated with two rules. We have already begun work on adding on/off in a single rule & will be implementing this soon.
Can you explain a little more about the issue you are experiencing with cameras?
