unwanted email folder

What happens to emails in the "unwanted" email folder?  Does putting emails in this folder block the sender?  What is the difference between the "spam" email folder and the "unwanted" folder?

Where are you seeing this folder--------in the Comcast webmail interface, or somewhere else?

No my question wasn't answered. Basically I wanted to know the difference between marking an email as spam or putting it in the "unwanted" folder.  Which, if any, action blocks emails from the sender? As you can tell, I'm a recent Xfinity/comcast email user.

I didn't say your question was answered.  I asked you where you are seeing this "unwanted" folder.  How are you accessing the email?  Using only a browser and the webmail interface?  Or in a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird?  On a mobile device or what?

Re: unwanted email folder

Sory i misunderstood your question.  I access the email and folders through the browers and email interface not the others mentioned.

OK, there is no "unwanted" folder that is part of the default folder pane in the webmail UI.  Is this appearing under your Inbox, or under "My folders" or someplace else?  Do you also have the account enabled on another device in a mail app like a phone or a tablet?  I have to ask because the unwanted folder is not being generated by the Appsuite software.

Then what seems to be happening is that the mail app on one or both of the phones has created the folder, and because the account is enabled on them using IMAP, it is also being duplicated in the Comcast account, which is IMAP compliant by default.  So everything is synced.
