With the previous email version, one could remove an attachment on an email in the inbox and still save the content of the body of the email. Removing attachments saves data storage space. How does one does this (remove the attachment while being able to save the body of the email like one could previously) with the new and "improved" email version?
The newer Open-Xchange "Appsuite" (connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/...) webmail does not have the "delete attachment" feature, but see http://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Email-Web-Browsing/Deleting-attachment/m-p/3008666#M188897 for a workaround.
Thank you, Bruce W. As you said it is a partial work around and it is cumbersome. As noted one loses the "from" part of the original emailer so one loses the unique sender name for filing. That adds another step which requires searching by sender name. Plus all the steps you mentioned are needed to save the body of the email and remove the attachments. It would be much better if they remove attachment feature would be restored. I will continue to send feedback to Comcast regarding this and other issues, though it probably will have no impact.
