how to find DHCP client ID

how do u find out what ur DHCP client ID is??? I know what it is.. but my bro got a new computer and needs to know the DHCP client ID.... how do u find it on a MAC?????

You don't need to know it, just connect to your modem and start it up, thats it.

Interesting, both in that location and in the Airport Admin Utility, the DHCP client ID field is blank

Yep. If it's necessary, the DHCP server will supply it automatically. It's not something you need to worry about. Especially on a Mac.

I agree. The client will provide an ID as it sees fit. The server can either use it or make up its own (usually consisting of the MAC address of the request). This is not something you usually specify, even if your DHCP cleint allows it (most do not). And I imagine the Comcast DHCP servers ignore it and use their own, so they have a consistent scheme.
