Re: how to bock sender of email

Should have asked how to block mail from a site.

anyhow Xfinity should make it easier for a non nerd to do.

I see many others with the same problem that  I have and no fix from Xfinity.

Is there a way to block all mail from OCE.NE.JP ?

I see that I am not alone with this one

I will tryFirefox next...they seem to be better at this than Comcast.net.

Will share if I get better results.

Mozilla/Firefox will not be able to help you with Comcast email.

I'm not 100% sure this will work since I haven't gotten one of those emails yet, but this is what I've set up.

  • Click on the gear icon [if you're in connect.xfinity.com/appsuite].
  • Click on Settings.
  • Under Mail [on the left side] click on Filter Rules.
  • Click on Add new rule.
  • Put a name in Rule name.
  • Under Conditions click on Add condition.
  • In the popup box click on Sender/From.
  • Next to Contains type in oce.ne.jp [might be ocn.ne.jp].
  • Under Actions click on Add action.
  • In the popup box click on Discard.
  • At the bottom click on Save.

Re: how to bock sender of email

I know that Firefox cannot help me with Comcast.

My intent was to see if Firefox has an easier way to block a sender.(Thunderbird) for email.
