a couple days ago my email went weird on me, can recieve emails but can not send, every time i try a pop up comes up and says to type my password, i do, but nothing happens. haven't changed anything, help!
How are you accessing your email? Are you using only a browser and the webmail UI? Or a desktop client like Outlook or Thunderbird? Or are you on a mobile device or what?
i am not very computer savy so please bare with me i use apple laptop computer, and have apple i phone i can send emails via icloud on my phone but not thru comcast on my phone nor lap top i went to comcast website and changed my password to see if that would help but it didnt. everytime i try to send an email thru comcast on laptop a pop up comes up and says enter password, i do, and then its rejected it just happened out of the blue, very weird. never had a problem like this before regarding comcast email. any info would be great!! thank you!!
1) Are you using the Mail client/app that comes with the iPhone and the laptop?
2) Are you getting an error message when you try to send saying that either the password or ID is invalid?
3) After you changed the password in the actual Comcast account, did you also change it in the clients on the phone and the laptop?
4) Can you send and receive normally if you use only a browser, like Safari or Chrome, and the webmail interface?
thank you thank you for all your help!!! i finally got a hold of comcast and they fixed the problem, that was a weird one and learned a lot from that, and nice to know theyre forums like this with such nice people to offer up their time to help))))))))
