New Poster


When trying to send email, I get this error message and the email does not go through. 

"An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: Excessive failed authentication, ESMTP server temporarily not available."


Is there anything I must do or is this an internal probelm.

If an employee doesn't help you here, try giving Comcast Security Assurance a call at 1-888-565-4329 (from Note that this is NOT one of the general customer service numbers.

The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
