email won't open - question pops up about app

For some reason today when I try to login to my email on my home computer a box pops up asking if I want to allow this website to open an app on your computer? from: https://xfinityconnect.mail.comcast.net/   Then my choice is allow or cancel.  If I hit cancel it just goes to blank screen.  If I hit allow it says no app is recognized. 

I have tried to go through Internet Explorer and Chrome and both are saying this.  Help?

Exactly the same problem. Something about an app store to get email, then says it can't be done.

Same problem.  Was told to try email again in 2 to 3 hours.  System issue.

Hello All -- We are currently experiencing an issue with our email platform. Our engineering team is aware of this and are working on a fix. We should have this resolved shortly.
