comcast email on iphone

comcast email on iphone

starting today, I receive "The mail server "mail.comcast.net" is not responding. Verify that you have entered  the correct account info in Mail settings" when checking my email. 

 

All works well when using Outlook on my pc or using webmail. I checked settings on the phone and all seems normal. I changed settings to 995 and ssl (from 587), but no diff. 

I can sent from the phone, but not receiving mail. 

 

What could be the problem.

Change the server to pop3.comcast.net.

did not work...couldn't find user name on pop3.comcast.net. 

Changed it back to mail.comcast.net and phone went back to 110...

Changed it to 995 and ssl...and it's working now. 

Could have been a glitch, but it's working now.
