I keep getting this message and can not send an email. How is this solved?

Same here in Marietta, GA for the past few hours. Can't send from Outlook on PC or from the Comcast app on iPhone.
Was able to just fine earlier this morning.

It is Comcast's problem. Go to chat with a service rep. Mine said they knew about the problem and the developer was working on the solution. It could be 4 to 8 hours.
Same here in South Florida. Comcast email techs shouldn't be allowed to manage a kid's Speak 'n Spell much less a paid email service. App Suite is FULL OF BUGS and S L O W E R than the previous email program. JUNK.
I'm on chat right now with xfinity support and they are telling me this:
"there is upgradation going on for the emails . That is why you are having this issue."
A responsible company would "upgradation" with advance customer notice and only at off peak hours. These guys are inconsiderate amateurs. If I ran a business that depended on these clowns I would go elsewhere for my broadband service and email. It's as if the 3 Stooges ran an email service.
