Xfinity email grayed out because of "Custom inbox views" video
I just tried to access my email and the Inbox appears but it is grayed out and in the center of the screen is a 4in by 4in box containing an invitation to view an XFINITY video that will show me around my "new XFINITY Connect experience". I can't do ANYTHING to make the box disappear and get access to my email!!
I've talked to the second level of support from the Phillippines who did a good job of repeating the same questions and suggestions that I received from the first level of support, but no solution.
I tried accessing my email from my home Gateway desktop with Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, and also my work Dell laptop with an Intel Core i7-4810Mq cpu @ 2.80GHz, 16 GB RAM and a 64-bit operating system using Windows 7 Enterprise Service Pack 1.
I tried both Internet Explorer 11 version 11.0.9600.17959CO and Google Chrome. I experienced the same problem both times.
Has anybody else had the same problem or can anybody suggest a solution?
