My email account stopped 2 weeks ago. People who send me emails get Permanent Error message rfc822 Diagnostic Code: smtp; 554 5.0.0 Permanent delivery failure. I have talked to Comcast Advanced Support 3 times. A ticket has been created. I have done the following things as the last representative instructed - Deleted the comcast email account from my PC, my phone and IPAd. Created a new password, turned off spam filters, turned on mail forwarding. I now only have access to my email by going directly to the comcast/xfinity website.
This hasn't changed anything.
He suggested I send an email to myself. When I try, I get the error message with a red triangle and it "an object with that name already exists".
I have another comcast email address under the same account that still works fine. ?????
The Comcast reps continue to say they will figure this out and call me. They never call so I keep calling them.
Thought I would try this. Can anyone out there help?
This is kind of confusing; are you saying you can sign into the account normally using only a browser and the webmail interface? Is it only when using a client that you have the problem?
If you can sign into the account you should be able to access the email normally. I am going to escalate this to the forum admins to see if they can follow-up on the issue.
lkeader764, I'll check on your ticket. Please send me a private message with your full name and phone number for help.
