OMG! You were right! The filter was totally blank so I thought there wasn't one there but I deleted it anyway and suddenly I am now getting my amazon emails. I can't thank you enough!
Please try now, I've disabled the filter that was set in your account. Also please change your Xfinity password.
Add me to the list of people having this same problem. I thought I cleared the filters but I am still not receiving amazon emails. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
AnnRu, Should be resolved. Please also change your Xfinity password.
I also have not received several of my emails for quite a while. I don't get them from my daughter's school anymore, Bath & Body Works, certain Starbucks emails, Victoria Secret, and a few others. Something must have changed, because one day I was getting them (every day or two) and then I wasn't getting any of them. I'm not sure if Comcast decided they were spam (nothing is ever in my spam folder), but I would really like to get all of my emails. I have done a chat with a representative, but that did not resolve the issue.
We had this problem too ... wasnt receiving any emails from Amazon. As to what it looks like, as others have stated, look for "Filter Rules" in your Xfinity mailbox settings (for us, we logged on to the xfinity website, went to our Mail, and then looked for Settings). Within settings, there is a setting for "Filter Rules." Unless you have intentionally set up other filter rules, the box should simply say, "There is no rule defined." If it says anything else, there may be one or rules set up that appear invisible. I dont recall exactly how I removed it, but I recall there is a small trash icon and there may be other ways to highlight what appears to be blank and delete it.
Before I found this thread, I tried using the Xfinity support messaging service but the person I spoke with sounded like he was involved in numerous conversations and was distracted and not that helpful. On the other hand, I see that Xfinity is trying to help on this topic on this forum.
Once I deleted the "invisible" rule to get to the point where it says, "no rule defined," I was able to contact Amazon and the emails started coming in.
What is so insideous about this problem is that it appears both your Xfinity and your Amazon accounts get hacked; the invisible rule is inserted on your Xfinity email account and your password is changed on your Amazon account and, even worse, the hacker sets up two factor authenticaltion on you Amazon account. All of this can be addressed by Amazon with a little work, but if you cant get email from Amazon, they probably think YOU are the hacker (although they never say it) and they are not going to help you much if at all.
By the way, strongly suggest you change both passwords immediately after you resolve the problem and not use the same one for both!!
I have spent over 3 hours trying to get my Xfinity account to accept emails from Amazon. I need to reset my password and have over 10 attempts to send email to my Comcast email. I am completely locked out and now I am on hold again with comcast (going on another 30 minutes) waiting for security support.
Amazon has no problems sending to other emails (such as gmail), however, since my comcast email is the email of record on my Amazon account, I cannot reset password from another email. WHICH IS A PROBLEM IF I CANNOT RECEIVE THE EMAIL...
help. wasted an entire day off with this comcast issue.
I am having the same issue -- I'm not receiving emails from Amazon, but my filter already says that I have no rules outstanding
If you have an issue with receiving emails from the specific recipients like Amazon for example - please send me a private message and include your full name, the account holder's name as it's listed on the billing statement. Click on my name ComcastElla, then click Send a message.
Same issue happening with my email, can't recieve any password verification emails from Amazon. Tried getting help over the phone multiple times and no one could helo me reset it. Amazon Help Center has been trying to send me emails and I have not been getting any of them, need help.
I recieve emails from Amazon but am having trouble receiving from other sites and some of the sites we have communicated with before with no problems. We purchased a new computer and started having trouble getting emails from web sites that we have communicated with before. My husband goes on different fishing sites and sends them an e-mail through their contact application and isn't receiving any responce in our e-mail. Is there something I can check to see why we are having trouble?
This info cost me 4 hours yesterday on the phone with Comcast. Between spending ages talking to various clueless Comcast people and waiting long periods in between to be transferred I finally got escalated to a guy in Customer Security Assurance who fixed the problem in 2 minutes. Go to Xfinity.com. Log in. Click on the email (the envelope) icon on the top right menu. On the next screen click on the little "gear" looking icon at the top right of the window. You'll get a pull down menu that includes Settings. Click on it. Then you'll see a menu on the left side of your screen. Click on Filter Rules. There is a blue button on the right that says something about rules. I can't remember exactly what it is, but I think it was "No Rules." The Comcast guy told to click on it and when I did it changed to say "Add Rule." Making that change somehow magically allowed me to receive Amazon email. The Comcast guy waited while I tried to access my Amazon account and get a security code from them by email. I received the Amazon email right away. (My Amazon account had been locked because of someone else trying to access it from an unfamiliar device. The hacker also was able to keep me from receiving email from Amazon. God knows how they did that, but Amazon says it happens all the time. The Amazon people told me as soon as I got this straightened out with Comcast I should change both my Amazon and Comcast passwords and also change the primary email address associated with the Amazon account).
I also am not recieving mail from amazon. It appears to be on comcast's end and I did not find a filter that was preventing the mail from getting to my inbox. I need to have my password reset and this is the only way to do so. Thanks!
I had the same experience with my emails from Amazon going to Trash and someone hacking into my comcast and amazon accounts. I have changed my passwords, removed the only comcast filter I saw (it was 123 - send all Amazon emails to trash). I'd like a Comcast Employee to check that there are no "invisible filters" left to cause more trouble.
I’m also having this problem. I find emails in my recover deleted folder that I didn’t put there but I don’t see any filters on my comcast email account. My emai is email@example.com. My amazon was hacked too. They’re not much help. How do I find this filter
Are you still having this issue? I'm not seeing any filters on your account at the moment.
This issue is resolved - at least for now. I removed the rogue 123 filter and go a "no filters set" message. Since others referred to "invisible" filters, I wanted a tech pro to check in case there are any ways to set a filter that cannot be easily seen.
Thanks for getting back to me.
If Xfinity is your internet provider and your email account call and ask for Customer Security Assistance. They deal with this all the time. They are very helpful but amazon has terrible customer support. Change your amazon password to something that is at least 12 characters long that is a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and characters. Set up two factor authentication of amazon. Set up two factor authenticaion of your Xfinity email and use their authenticator app. Check if you have credit cards saved in your amazon account. I removed my payment information, put a hold on the credit card and then just closed the credit card and cancelled my prime membership.
I had one friend that say she started getting orders at her house of amazon deliveries that she didn't order. That is what alerted her. Take as many precautions as you can with ur online security.
I am experiencing the exact problem with emails from Amazon. I am not able to receive the email send to my Comcast.net address. While I was on the call with an Amazon representative, he sent several emails to me but, I did not receive any. The emails are not in the Spam or Trash folders either. I have not set up any filters. Who do I send the PM? Thanks
Read thru all the threads in this post. There may be a filter set that you’ll need to search for then remove. From what I’ve read at other websites if you have changed passwords in a few months hackers have a way to compromise your account so you need to be vigilant and change passwords often. Set 2FA on your accounts and you an authenticator app if available for the account. Also call Xfinity customer security assurance to tell them what is going on. 1-888-565-4329. You’ll spend some time on hold. Look in your recover deleted email folder. That’s where I found the emails from amazon. Hackers broke my Xfinity and amazon password. So after they changed my amazon password I wouldn’t know about it.
