FAKE Xfinity email -- Don't be a victim

There's a FAKE (phishing) email going around, the goal of which is to trick you into giving the perpetrators your Xfinity login credentials. Do fall victim to this scam! Attached is an image of the email. Note the actual URL is NOT Xfinity's Support URL.

Re: Is this spam

All,

Thank you for posting your concerns here in the Xfinity Forum. Please know that an unknown entity pretending to be Xfinity Mobile recently sent phishing emails to our customers from a misleading address with a link that could install malware on a person's computer when clicked.

All customers who believe that their personal or Xfinity Mobile account information may be compromised due to this phishing email can email NETO_SecurityResponseCenter@comcast.com for assistance.

Thanks again for alerting us.

Re: FAKE Xfinity email -- Don't be a victim

gantos, bellow are instructions on how to report phishing emails to Comcast; additional information can be found at https://internetsecurity.xfinity.com/help/report-abuse/

Report Phishing Emails

When reporting phishing emails, it is critical that you send us the email headers. Please do not forward the phishing email. Forwarding the email will remove the original headers.

Report phishing email sent to or from a Comcast.net email account

Once you have copied the full message headers from the spam message, paste the header and the message into an email and send it to abuse@comcast.net with the subject line "Phishing email."
