Can't open my email get error message

I am recieving an error message when I try to click and open and email remotely.  I can't see the content in my email.  I need access to my email to respond to job recruiter.  Please fix this. Here is the error message:

Error: Failed to load message content.  The connection to remote server imap.email.comcast.net timed out while awaiting the response.  Please try again later.
