Can't delete emails or empty trash

I can't delete emails as I keep getting an error message that says: Error

 This message could not be moved to trash folder, possibly because your mailbox is nearly full.
In that case, please try to empty your deleted items first, or delete smaller messages first.
Then, I tried to empty trash and it won't load the messages and therefore I can't delete them.  I get an error message saying: An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request.  Ugh.
My mailbox is only 10% full.

Call Comcast security and ask them to look at your account.  They should be able to sort this out for you---------------

Did this issue end up getting resolved via Security Support? Is that the correct step? --- Having the same issue.

I'm having the same issue, too. My mailbox usually is around 3GB in size, but on Tuesday evening it suddenly said my mailbox was full. I check the trash can and found 190,000 emails in there! I never have that much, and while browsing found hundreds of copies of the same emails. Emptying the trash can looks like it works, but if I switch to the Inbox and then back to the trash can it's full again. Calling Comcast support has been useless so far, and I'm heading into my third day with no new emails.

 

Come on, Comcast - you're killing me!

Actually, the day after posting this, I logged into my account and the situation was back to normal.  I don't know why.

I am having a similar issue. I have two Comcast mail accounts. For one, I can delete emails and do everything else. For the other, I cannot delete emails from either my Mail application or through the Comcast site. Interestingly, I can empty my Trash folder from my Mail application.

 

There appears to be a server issue at Comcast if I'm reading the error correctly. (Note that on the Comcast site the error message disappears too quickly to read it all) Two error messages pop on Comcast but the first disappears too quickly to read. The second states:

Error

 An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

Having the same issue since last night. Can't delete emails or empty trash and getting an error message. New emails do seem to be coming in, however. Hoping it's a server issue.

Have same issue but I went into the advanced settings and ticked the box to permanently delete ... when I went to delete an email I recd a confirmation to delete email permanently. That seemed to work. That was through the website login. I usu use the app and confirmed that the emails were gone.

Thru the app, the message states your trash folder needs to be synced then will not let you out. Stupid computers.

Update: all is working again for me. I think it was a Comcast issue.

I've had the same issue now for weeks. I get that error message any time I try to delete any email. They'll delete for a few seconds but then they'll pop back up in my inbox. This is so frustrating.
