Did you remember to put a check mark in the box next to Reply automatically to incoming email?

 

Try deleting the message and exit out of Auto Reply.  Clear your cache and make sure you have cookies set for Xfinity Connect.  Close out of your browser and then restart and go back to Xfinity Connect and re-enter your away message.
