My xfinity email account automatically forwards to a gmail account. However, that gmail account no longer exits so senders get an error message. How do I stop the automatic forwarding?
If you have the newer Open-Xchange "Appsuite" webmail ("...connect.xfinity.com/appsuite/..."), locate
(gear icon) / Settings / Mail / Auto Forward
and clear the "Enable email forwarding" checkbox.
You might also check to make sure that none of the filters under
(gear icon) / Settings / Mail / Filter Rules
are set to do forwarding.
