Hey Comcast, will there be any updates to the touchscreen controller that will actually incorporate useful apps? I agree, some of the past apps were pointless, but are there plans to add some apps that could be functional? A calendar that links with your Google calendar would be nice. An app that pulls in a reputable news feed, such as CNN. The weather app is great and thta should remain. It would be nice if this bulky touchscreen on my kitchen counter could serve as a a little bit more of an information center too.
You should have the new interface now.

Moving to correct board
It would be nice to see what the unit it self looks like. What is with the black?
Touch screen does not have sound coming from system. I was informed by comcast technician that a firmware was installed and then removed which disabled the speaker (it chirps low like a baby bird). In a two story home, this is not an effective alarm for security. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THE SYSTEM OR EVEN NOTIFY CUSTOMERS? Had a technican work on system for three hours on one day and returned the next morning. Now I have a system that only chirps and is not effective at all. Repair / replace or refund!

I wish that the Touchscreen had the option to default view to multiple cameras on the main screen. Currently there is only one camera view on the main touchscreen and it is not user-friendly to "swipe" to the other camera's, when all the homeowner would need have to do is "glance" at the screen and see multiple views. LIKE the previous version which had a multiple camera view as the default screen...
It does not help. Even when a sound control at the maximum, it produce sound that is hardly noticable.

Did you try a reboot of the touchscreen?
We recently rolled out an update to customers who have our newer model of Touchscreen (without the physical volume buttons on the side) which should help with volume control. If you don't have the update yet, you will soon!
To increase the volume, click on the "More" icon in the upper-right corner of the display (looks like three dots) and choose Display & Volume. Click on the Volume option and then move the slider bar on the next screen all the way to the right.
I have this model of Touchscreen and this feature made my volume significantly louder - I'm hoping it does the same for you! Let us know how it works out...

I still have the old interface on my touchscreen, how do I get updated to this new interface?
So why have the fire and medical panic been removed? Where's the logic in that? Also, why have those apps been removed? For a company that ' loves' its customers, that doesnt seem very logical.

They explained why in the first post:

Did not help. Volume is still extremely low and barely audible.
