I recently purchased a home that has Xfinity cameras and window sensors installed throughout the entire house. I've been told by Xfinity that since the equipment was bought by someone else, it is forever registered in their name and that we cannot use any of it or sync to a new Xfinity home touchscreen. According to them, we would have to buy all new equipment under our name in order to have a security system up and running. Is this our only option? It seems like a bunch of new equipment would go to waste which is a shame since it technically came with the house when we bought it.
Hi romeroivane, If the Xfinity Home equipment was fully paid for both parties could go to a local Comcast store for a transfer of ownership. Please let me know if you have any questions.
