Home Security KeyPad Batteries

FYI everyone...I know that batteries are not part of Xfinity's covered replacement parts, BUT the alarm installer told me the batteries in my keypad would last 2 years.  They only lasted 2 MONTHS!!!

Now the display screen constantly beeps telling me it lost a signal with the keypad!!!!  Even when I ackownledge, and clear the display pad, it starts beeping a couple hours later.  I was told the alarm system was "care-free" for 2 years, but there is a chance I'll be purchasing batteries every 2 months???  If this becomes bi-monthly occurrence, this system is going to get smashed, and put into the trash!!!!

Re: Home Security KeyPad Batteries

batteries will defintely last longer than 2 months.   I found those batteries for the Centralite keypad for under $4 each.

Re: Home Security KeyPad Batteries

i have had to replace the batteries for the 2nd time in less than a year AND the replacement batteries are loose so there is not a good connection (still shows low battery). I shouldnt have to make a service call to replace batteries ... should I. Very frustrated.

Re: Home Security KeyPad Batteries

I have had the security system less than 6 months and the keypad batteries are dead.  The lead in this forum for instructions in changing the keypad batteries is defunct.  I guess Comcast is still a service nightmare.

I don't know what you mean by "lead".  Does this help?
