I received a letter from xfinity saying “ we will replace the old modem with the model number TC8305C “

I have already a TC8305C

What is the difference between your new “ TC8305C “ and my current model which is also a TC8305C ?

You're reading it as "we will replace the old modem with [one with] the model number TC8305C" when it could mean "we will replace the old modem with the model number TC8305C [with a newer model]" . 

 

 Maybe contact Comcast directly by phone or chat and find out exactly what this entails?
