"Anniversary gift" real or fraud?

I got an email saying that xfinity is celebrating my anniversary as a customer with a special gift.

"Enjoy $ toward your next On Demand rental or purchase or simply use it as a credit toward your bill."

"Your code is .  Click the button above, and follow the simple instructions to redeem your coupon."

Clearly the missing $ amount and code looks suspicous;  the 'button' just takes me to an xfinity sign in page, but the url looks legit.

Is this a botched promotion or phishing fraud?

Look at the email header and see if the return address appears to be legitimately Comcast.  If you suspect spam or phishing forward it to abuse@comcast.net for them to investigate.  You can also check the domain of the return address at https://www.whois.com/whois/  to see who owns it and if, in fact, it belongs to Comcast.

If you use webmail ("https://connect.xfinity.com/") to access your Comcast email, any message claiming to be from Comcast/Xfinity should have the Xfinity Verified Email logo -- see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email.
