outbound email

While attempting to send an email I get the following error message:

 

Sending of the message failed.
An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) outbound.comcast.net is unknown. The server may be incorrectly configured. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

 

What is going on?  How can I correct?

The server name is incorrect. For sending, use "smtp.comcast.net". See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email.
