Comcast has started free speed upgrade for Extreme 150 plan to 250Mbps in Chicago area. I have Tripple play Digital premier 260 and yesterday my plan indicated that download speed up to 250 Mbps but my speed has not change. Chat support went through the routine of restart modem, direct connection to emta and such without any change in speed. Can Comcast tech who monitor this forum help me out.

Verify your speed tier
Visit https://mydeviceinfo.xfinity.com to determine your speed tier. After you log into your account, your speed tier will be displayed on the left-hand side of your screen. Alternatively, you can view the speed tier to which you are subscribed here. Sign in and scroll down to the data usage graph area.
Does it say your speeds are 250Mbps? Are you checking speeds over ethernet?
Thank you for your reply. I have Triple play, Extreme 150 Mbps, Digital premier and Phone. I had chat support 2 days back and he said I am eligible to get free upgrade to 250 Mbps, after reboot and direct connect to my CM500v, the speed has remained the same as of the past 7 months which is 173/23. However now my account service plan now shows Digital premier and download speed up to 250 Mbps and speed remains at 173/23. I do not believe the agent had update my boot file? or provision?. I was going to wait and see but many custommers in my area claimed that they got help from Netcool(Comcast specialist) at Dsl report comcast direct so I posted this just in case I will get the help here. Thank you.
