They sent the kit to install internet inside the house but, failed to inform me when it will be connected to outside.. How long does this generally take?

rtgreve, do you know the approximate time Comcast was last in your home before you moved in/got service? If it has been longer than a year, a tech needs to come out to activate the tap at the pole, which may explain why the self install isn't working.
