comcast cuts off customers because of old modems, no warning

I have been just cut off without warning by comcast, as my modem is 'too old', after 8 months of usage, no warning. Transcript below:

Got it, thanks! Let me work on this device.

As I checked here, this modem device with the model SB6121 is already outdate. To get your internet service up and running, we have to get an approve and supported modem of Comcast. This link https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices/#unauth may help to check the approved and supported modem of Comcast.

Bj 3:25:23 PM

It is just the outdated that is why unable to register it on your account and needs to have an updated one to get the internet working.
