XG1v4 self-install request

Hopefully I understand the process correctly based upon the few related messages I have read in these forums.

Apparently I need to request a 4k DVR (XG1V4) self-install kit here, in the Customer Service forum and then wait for an Xfinity CSR to ask me to send them a private message with my request. Well, I have a Netflix premium subscription and a 4k capable TV so I'm requesting an XG1v4 box so I can watch the 4k content at the 4k resolution. There's also an issue with my current equipment where the audio isn't synced worth the video. I've tried adjusting all of the related audio settings, those on the cable box/dvr, those on the television and those on the soundbar (connected via optical cable) and while I've managed to lessen the delay, the audio is still noticeably off from the video feed.

 

Please contact me so we can continue the process required to get me an XG1v4 box.

It's been a full week since my initial inquiry. Any chance we can get get the process started soon? The audio sync issue is driving me nuts and we'd appreciate the ability to watch 4k Netflix programming in 4k.

Please advise.

19 days have passed since my initial request and I have yet to even receive an acknowledgement that my request has been received. I'm not sure I understand the purpose of making these requests in the Customer Service forum because obviously nobody from Xfinity is reading them. The requests like mind don't seem to get any attention unless the customer opts  to break the rules and DM a CSR. I'd rather not resort to such tactics but as long as I'm being ignored while I'm following the forum rules, what choice do i really have if I want my malfunctioning HD DVR exchanged for a functional 4k DVR?

Perhaps if I use the exact same text as someone else's message that has received a positive response from a Comcast CSR such as ComcastJoeTru...

 

I have an X1 plan and just purchased a 4K TV and would like to change from current XG2v2 standard HD to a 4K XG1v4 box.  How do I go about the exchange?

 

My situation is similar - purchased 4k TV in late 2019 but only recently subscribed to a 4k Netflix plan. Please advise as to how I can go about obtaining a self-install kit for the XG1v4 box.
