Trying to Upgrade Account Service

Has anyone else had trouble upgrading their current service to the Triplle Play? My daughter called then I called 3 times. Each time we got a different price and were given conflicting information regarding channels specifically ID, WE, TRU, UP, OXYGEN and WGN. The last time I called I told the rep that I wanted to port my phone number from my current carrier. He got an error then told me I couldn't do it. I called my current carrier and was told he should have gotten an error code which they could resolve. I want to up grade but how do I get someone who knows what they are doing and how do I get the REAL price/

Can you get to an Xfinity Store in your area? I've always had the best service when dealing person to person with local store reps, most recently wtih my Triple Play to Quad Play upgrade.
