I had a personal modem and router for my account and recently switched to an xfinity model. It was working fine for a week and now it won't connect to the internet. I notice that the old modem and router still show up on the account page and that it may be trying to connect to old equipment. How do I get the old ones removed?
You would have to register your new modem. If you have purchased an Xfinity compatible modem you can go to Xfinity.com/activate to register your new modem. During this process your device will be rebooted. After that you will see your nem modem showing in your account.
