I just recently moved to Louisa, Virginia from Gordonsville, Virginia. Both are fairly rural places but have a good size poplulation right outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. In Gordonsville, we had excellent internet, just 12 miles up the road, and here in Louisa my only option is sattelite. I was wondering on how I could get Xfinity's high speed internet hooked up to my current location.
I am running into a similar situation, and service is only about 1 mile up the road. Comcast will charge a hefty fee to bring the service down the street. Hope I can negotiate for a long-ter contract, but if not, they will lose a 13-year customer to Verizon or 5G very soon.
