I received an e-mail that looks like it came from Comcast that an update on my user profile is required because they are out of date and wants me to click on a link and to do this within 24 hours or there will be limitations to my account. I went directly into my account and do not see any notifications to update my user profile.
Is this a scam e-mail, or, do I need to do something on my user profile?
That's almost certainly a phishing email, a scammer attempt to steal login and account information. If you check your email with Comcast's Xfinity Connect webmail, look for the XFINITY Verified Email logo next to any message that claims to be from Comcast/Xfinity (see https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/comcast-verified-email/).
