Have been having similar problems with Comcast.  Internet service has been eratic for about three months.  When the internet is down so is "on demand".   I've had Comcast techs out three times since the end of June.  I've been told by Comcast that I need to have my RG59 replaced  with a new RG-6 by a procedure called wallfish.  I pay monthly for the Comcast wire plan, which is no longer being offered to new customers, and I'm told that this plan does not apply to wallfish cable coax lines.   Comcast refuses to replace the wire and they refused to offer any assistance in referring the appropriate  companies who can do the work.  I've been searching for several weeks for the right company,  both electricians and cable installers,  to no avail.  Some Companies will not even return my call when I mention what  I'm seeking.   I'm thinking about going with Verizon but not sure they will be an improvement.    I'm looking for suggestions..
