Re: Constantly lose internet: tech says signal leakage in?

Hello-

I didn't see a place to start a new question, but mine is closely related to this one. We have been getting calls from somebody with an "India accent" from Cincinnati saying that there has been a signal leakage issue. The problem started quite few months ago, I think but I got a new modem and that seemed to have fixed it.  Last night, while working on the computer, there was what seemed to be a big electrical surge, it might have even dimmed the lights for a  second, and a lot of colored lights on the back of the modem were blinking. I still seemed to have an internet connection, but nothing seemed to happen other than I couldn't even type in the text box and get it to show up. Is there even such an office as was stated on the phone which deals with this in Cincinnatti?

Yes, that was a legitimately call. There’s already a job created, all you have to do is schedule it. There’s something in your house that’s backfeeding out and possibly interfering with our outside plant, that was picked up by our maintenance team. Regarding your internet, your modem’s upstream signals are out of spec, so the 2 issues may be related.
