RG6, RGTri, and RG6QS - Which does Comcast use?

Hi,

I've had two Comcast techs come out in the last two weeks for troubleshooting.

The first one told me they use RG6 coax, and the second told me they use RG6QS, but when he left me a length of what he had on the truck, it was RG6Tri.

Is the is the RG6QS that much better?

Comcast uses tri-shield or quad shield. Tri generally meets or exceeds Comcast's standards. It can be beneficial to use quad shield, but it is not typically necessary.
