I was interested in lowering my monthly bill at Comcast only because money is tight at the moment (hopefully that will change over time). It's difficult to find information on the exact packages Comcast offers, so I thought I would ask here before calling.
I'm wondering if there is a low-cost TV option that retains pay-per-view for movies, music and on-demand for channels like AMC, ABC, etc. I do want to keep HBO as well. But I realize not all this may be possible. So I was wondering what the different tiers are for cable (in other words, what is in the first tier -- broadcast nets? CNN? MSNBC? -- and the second tier, etc.).
I also was wondering if it was possible to get a triple play at a promotional price. That might help me as well. I currently have broadband/TV but no phone. Could I add a landline (not interested honestly in digital phones, I prefer landlines) and HBO to that and then receive it for a promotional price even though I have been a longtime customer? If that were to be the case, what would the cost go up to after the promotional period? Would I be under contract to continue that?
Currently I pay well over $200 per month. I do understand that cost; to be fair to the company, there is a lot of capital investment necessary to keep up the quality service. I'm just looking for information to see what is available. Thanks (and I do honestly enjoy Comcast, I believe it is a good company; only for money reasons am I looking to either find a new package or negotiate).
