All;
I found a few topics on this, but no easy answers. Can someone help me with either porting my phone number to Vonage, or to a specialist who can help?
When I called online, they suggested I need to 'release' the number from Vonage, and then see if we can get it into Xfinity. Based on past experience in porting email addresses, the minute you 'release' it, it opens the number for someone else to take it.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks Andrew.
I have TriplePlay - never activated it, I guess. Is that my first step?
Customer/Tech Support @ Xfinity never told me if it was active or not.

Thanks.
I do have a number, and can access it online, but don't want that number - I'd like to port the number all of my contacts have grown accustomed to.
I guess bottom line is, can a Vonage number be ported? What do I need to tell the Xfinity support agent *specifically* to do? What steps do I need to do ahead of time?
If I can't do it, I'm okay with that and will move on, but hoping that I can. The first Xfinity agent kept getting errors during porting - it was the number I was calling her on.

Greetings, @cdcopeland! I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us here on the forums. I hope you are having an amazing day! I certainly understand wanting to take your old number with you. Everyone has it and you don't want to spend the time giving out the new number. I would like to see what we can do for you. Can you please send me a PM with your first and last name so I may further assist you?

Hi @ComcastMichael;
I'm not readily finding the ability to PM you. I click on your name, and it takes me to a summary screen about you, showing all of your posts. I don't see a link to PM on the screen anywhere.
My apologies for not being able to find the link.
Thanks;
