I called Comcast at 800-266-2278 and was transferred from the first agent to a loyalty agent. Told him I wanted to drop my cable tv and keep the internet. He offered to lower the cable tv bill by not charging for the box for 12 months, basically lowering by $20. I told him we were going to stream our tv and that we’d already made up our minds on that issue. That we didn’t need the cable tv anymore as we usually watch fewer than a dozen channels.
I asked for any promos available for existing customers and he said that he could offer the Performance Pro (150mps) for $64.95 on the 12 month contract, which is the level we currently had. I asked what the next lower internet level was and if a promo was available as well. He told me that their Performance Plus (60mps) was available for $49.95 on the identical terms as the Pro level. We chose the Plus level, which we’re very satisfied with. Our Speedtest usually range above 70 mbp with a few devices going on simultaneously. Surprisingly fast....
It was an easy process to call Comcast and speak with their loyalty agent. He was very professional and a good listener.
