Hello - I've had quite the week transferring Xfinity to my new place. Had 3 techs out, 2 lines replaced, and a new port. Prior to moving, I was using Xfinity with my NETGEAR CM500 modem. Had no issues for 2 years or the 1st week of my move in. Then, internet went out and the chaos ensued. Although the Wifi is back up at my place, I'm using an Xfinity gateway and do not want to pay the rental fee every month. Their Docsis 3.1 gateway connects fine (and of course, all the other Xfinity gateways), but my CM500 can't seem to. Even bought a new CM500...no luck. Then tried my luck with an ARRIS Surfboard 8x4...nope.
Any insight into what the issue might be? I can't imagine this being linked to hardware issues on THREE different modems. I appreciate anything that will free me from this chaos!!
