I try all morning to contact, a live human to ask about my account, no luck so far, can I get a real number, what a service I have????

I am trying to lower my bill, changing plan to less channels. absolutely no luck in contacting xfinity in any manner. Chat service was not helpful. Scheduling a callback was a bust, "having trouble connecting to your number" or something such.
Any ideas on how to connect with a customer service rep..without going to a store? Tryed to change my plan to less channels and not an option. yikes!
